Clinical Training
Necessary Clinical Training for students is imparted in the 1500 bedded Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital and Research Centre and the Department of Physiotherapy located in the college premises. Every students gets ample opportunity and exposure to interact, assess, examine research and treat their patents with different conditions. We make all efforts to improve the clinical skill through persistent supervision and practice.

Student Amenities

Laboratory
Laboratory for experiments and practice and made available in college campus and Banshankari Campus of Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences. Students get ample time and opportunities to build up their skill through these facilities. Expert teachers are available to supervise them throughout the practical hours. Laboratories available are,

Library
Three separate libraries are made available. One being at the Banshankari Campus and another is in the Central Library in KIMS block and a reference library in the College. A wide range of books about 17,000 and odd encompassing all branches of Medicines and Physiotherapy are made available on shelf. A good collection of National and International Journals and Publications are also present. Library in the college has an exclusive collection of internationally acknowledged Physiotherapy books.

Attached to the central library there is an internet centre, where in students can gather medical and health related information from World Wide Web for a nominal fee. The centre also has CD ROM, containing research Citations, abstracts to help research students for data search and data collection

Transportation
Mass transport facility is available for students, to commute between college campus in Vishweshpuram and Pre-clinical campus at Banshankari II stage. Buses ply between the two campuses in morning, Lunch hour and evening time. Students can travel in the bus by boarding it at specific points in college as well as in Pre-clinic campus. A nominal fee is levied on the coming students, for the purpose on a no loss no profit basis.

Hostel
Separate hostels are available for boys and girls, attached to Pre-clinical campus in Banshankari II stage. It is located approximately 4 km away from the college campus. Students can travel between the two colleges bus provided for the purpose. Hostel is supervise by a manager and controlled by Warden. Ragging, contraband substances alcohol, smoking, sound pollution, etc are prohibited. Inmates should strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of hostels

Bank
Banking facility is available in the college campus for student. An extension counter of Syndicate bank is function at the B.I.T. building with the campus. Student can open account for all his/her financial transactions and deposition of money.

Canteen
Three Canteens are function in the whole Campus. One in B.I.T building, another in KIPT building and the third one the TIMS hospital, near the college. It provides all types of foods and refreshment during working hours.

Award and Merit
The institutions Honours students with outstanding performance in academy, by issuing Merit Certificate. The “Dr B.L. Jayaram Gold Medal” is awarded to the best outgoing student.Annullay students can take part in the IAP, Utkal branch Gold Medal competition for physiotherapy students organize by Indian Association of Physiotherapy.

Gym
A well equipped Multi Gymnasium has been set up in our fitness centre. Its facilities can be utilized by students & the general public.

Extra Curricular Activities
“All works & no plays makes Jack a dull boy”. True to this saying in mine & to break the monotony of lectures and clinics, students are encouraged to participate in extracurricular activities. We take all efforts to unravel the hidden talents in our students. Annually the Institute conducts a variety of Sports, Cultural and Literacy competitions for students to showcase their talents. The best performers are ever encouraged to take part in inter-collegiate and university level competitions.

The institution has an active NSS wing. It conducts rural health educations; survey and screening programmes apart from the socially constructive activities activities in rural India.

Educational excursions are organized by the college. Students have to get an informed consent from their parents to take part in it.
